Masterplan and amenities
The lake in the center, amenities at the edge
The lake
The brochure describes the lake as the center of the plan. Homes sit around it so the units look toward the water.
Amenities
Amenities sit at the edge, not in the middle of the lake. That is how the brochure organises daily use of the site.
Walking and cycling
Green paths connect the place for pedestrians and cyclists. They are part of how movement inside the project is described.
Apartments in this setting
The launch of 308 apartments in October 2024 sits in this plan. Unit detail and price each have their own page.
The name is not enough
Three projects that should not be read as one
Solana East
New Cairo, on the east side of the city. A launch of 308 apartments in October 2024. Travel times of 15, 20 and 30 minutes from ORA’s brochure.
Solana in New Zayed
A different project. ORA’s page describes about 316 feddans, 870 villas and townhouses, and 1,300 apartments.
ZED East
Another project in east Cairo. ORA’s page describes about 360 feddans. It is not Solana East.
Questions about the location
- Are the times measured from a named gate?
- They are the travel times written in ORA’s brochure: about 15, 20 and 30 minutes. They are not a published measurement from a named entrance.
- What does the masterplan describe?
- A lake in the center, homes around it looking toward the water, amenities at the edge, and green paths for walking and cycling.
- Is Solana in New Zayed the same project?
- No. Solana in New Zayed is a west-Cairo project. Its page describes about 316 feddans, 870 villas and townhouses, and 1,300 apartments. Those figures belong there.
